World of Warcraft – Booster Draft!!!

On Friday, April 4th 2008 Critical Effect will be hosting a Booster Draft for the World of Warcraft TCG! This will be the first event here @ Critical Effect that will include the newly released Servants of the Betrayers set (Release Tuesday, April 1st). We will be drafting 30 card decks from 2 packs of March of the Legion and 1 pack from the new Servants set. Entry fee will be $15 and will cover the cost of your boosters. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and third place. The draft will start at 4:00, so please be prompt!

We would like to invite everyone to join in our forums. There has not been a good forum in the first Northwest Indiana Gaming community for years.

We here at Critical Effect would like to create an online community of gamers to discuss varying topics in the industry. Please feel free to post Gaming News, New releases, Questions and any other topics that you wish to share. Keep it clean and be courteous to others. ANYONE found being overly obscene, rude or insulting will be banned!!! We do not wish for this to be a bash-fest. Any threads that evolve into post contests…… will be locked! Let’s use these forums to share ideas and information, gain insight and opinion, and to bring the NW Indiana Gaming Community TOGETHER!

Trail of Cthulhu is a new GUMSHOE system game under license to Chaosium, set in the 1930s released 1st March 2008.

It supports both Pulp(for Indian Jones, Robert E. Howard, thrilling locations sorts of games) and Purist styles of play(for intellectual horror and cosmic dread). HP Lovecraft’s work combined both, sometimes in the same story. It includes a new take on the creatures, cults and gods of the Lovecraft’s literature, and addresses their use in gaming. Fantasy Flight Games Coming to Critical Effect

On Thursday April 3rd, Fantasy Flight Games will be coming to Critical Effect to throw down some games, do some demos and generally hang with gamers. Mark some time out for this awesome event!  We will get started as soon as they roll into town.  Approximately 3:00 p.m.

They will be busting out demo’s for Confrontation and AT-43, as well as their popular CCG Kingdom Hearts.   We will also be breaking out some of their awesome board games!!!
